Rheuma unterteilt man grundsätzlich in fünf Krankheitsgruppen:

* Entzündungsrheuma: hierzu gehören u.a. Morbus Bechterew, Psoriasis-Arthritis und die reaktive Arthritis.

* Verschleißrheuma: hierzu gehören diverse Arthrosen der Gelenke.

* Weichteilrheuma: hierzu gehören u.a. Fibromyalgie.

* Gicht.

* Stoffwechselstörungen, die zu rheumatischen Beschwerden führen.

Ebenso wichtig sind die dazugehörigen Therapien. Bei Gelenkrheuma z.B. liegt eine Störung des Immunsystems vor und genau hier werden gezielt Medikamente eingesetzt, entzündungshemmende Schmerzmittel, Cortision und Biologicals. In Deutschland leben ca. 850.000 Menschen an Gelenkrheuma. In den meisten Fällen verläuft das Rheuma chronisch das in Schüben verläuft und oft zur Arbeitsunfähigkeit oder zur Frührente / Erwerbsminderungsrente führt. Aufgrund der Einschränkungen können viele ihren Beruf nicht mehr ausüben und müssen umgeschult werden. Aber auch Kinder und Jugendliche leiden unter Rheuma. Manchmal kann es Jahre dauern bis das Rheuma Diagnostiziert werden kann und so lange ist ein Kämpfen mit den Ärzten angesagt.

Auf dieser Homepage beschreibe ich eben diesen langen Weg bis zur Diagnose Rheuma, mit Hindernissen welche ich mit Ärzten, Behörden und Ämtern hatte. Man erfährt mehr zu den Krankheitsbildern an denen ich erkrankt bin. Das Thema Ernährung wird auch angesprochen und ich habe hierzu auch Informationen.
